Fading midwinter Sun winks
through cracked cloud coat,
before he dissolves quietly
into evening’s indigo haze.
Silvery cold night
plucks out a lucky star
from her dark grey fabric.
Like the edge of a fingernail,
a thin moon in melancholic curve,
solemnly prays
for new beginnings...
