Unfelt

Curdles within my roaring belly,
climbs up an aching throat
upon a quivering tongue,
but finds no word-wings
to hang on,
make it real.
Better left unspoken,
it bleeds through slits
in broken thought,
haunted silence,
unfelt.

Inside Out

Outer petals
tanned in autumn browns,
yet spring has knocked
her inner doors.
Like the glow of dawn
blushing in pink,
she blooms from inside out.

Amiss

Pale-yellow jasmine petals,
from an exotic garden, recall
their forgotten wild bloom.

Springtime

Warm seasons melt
my numbed winter thoughts.
Life flows...

Again

Again my mind is a calm sea...
and again, the sky, too clear a blue
to stir up ripples of eloquence in me!

The Juggler

All parts ardently balanced up in the air,
enriched by new props each year,
I dare not drop the ball…
With hopeful hands wide stretched;
weary eyes unblinking in steady gaze,
I continue to juggle,
the many intricate thresholds of life.

~ She plays many roles ; She justifies several duties.
‘The Juggler ‘symbolizes each and every strong willed
woman who is not afraid of stretching her limits.
Happy Women's Day !
Also celebrating my 100th post on quietHappiness!!!

*Septet is a poem with seven lines, no meter and  free verse.

Excuse

The year is still new.
I find no reason
to pause or to postpone...

~ We tend to have many expectations from the new year. For things to change. For something new to happen... But somehow, it feels like there is no point in waiting. Let insight lead to change than change leading to insight.

Dialogue

Dripping silence holds
a shy promise
under a shared umbrella.
I trace your gaze that follows
a raindrop onto my lip.

~celebrating the untimely rains of Arabia.

Paint It Red

Red Sun flows
over countless little rooftops.
In ruddy river reflections,
a glistening town...

Dilemma

A part of my mind
Soars like a bird
Envies, the other half

Hope

Restless cloud of dust
Reveals at the skyline
A sparkly sliver of sea

Floating Thoughts

...some light thoughts in the form of 'Haiku'
*'Haiku' is a japanese form of three line poetry , usually without titles or punctuations.

1. Clock ticks slow
    Sun hung low
    Home calls me more
    ---Wait

2. Branches droop down
    to touch the pond
    Reflections flutter
    ---Kiss

3. Water gushes out
    onto tiny hands
    to splash a smile
    ---Play

4. Sky dense dark
    Should it cry any minute
I do not have a handkerchief
    ---Monsoon

5. The moon was full
    Her eyes were moist
    she waited on her lover
    ---Parting Pain

6. The cat ran
    Behind ran the child.
    His mother ‘also ran’
    ---Motherhood

7. I carry a big bag
    stuffed with the needless
    It’s always full
    ---Worries

8. Wind comes in
    My gaze goes out
    Curtain just moves
     ---Inspiration

9. The sea looks up
    The sky looks down
    I look at the horizon
    ---Life

10.Time goes fast
      I go slow
     The day is just right
     ---Leisure

11. When the time is right
      I go fast
      the world seems slow
      ---Fate

12. All the pencil wanted
      was to make a drawing
My hand was not in a mood
      ---Lazy

13. She watches the world
      go by at her window
      No one looks at her
      ---Alone

14. Continuous thoughts
      weave across
      broken breathings
      ---Dreams

15. Wind sways his way
      through orange flower beds
      I watch them dance
      ---Spring
